The importance of developing future primary school teachers’ strategic competence

Abstract

Students’ practical foreign language training is becoming especially relevant and important nowadays. Modern society requires competitive professionals who can communicate in a professional foreign language in their specialty and the demand for their training is quite high. 48 non-language universities of Ukraine are recruiting students for the educational and professional program in the field of knowledge 01 Education / Pedagogy, specialty 013 Primary education, which allows us to draw conclusions about the popularity of this area among applicants. Thus, the problem of the quality of foreign language practical training of future Primary school teachers and the search for effective ways to raise it to a level that would meet today's requirements is extremely important. We see one of the ways to optimize the educational process of foreign language practical training in non-language universities in the formation of foreign language strategic competence.
