Migration governance in times of crisis and disinformation : the case of Ukraine

Abstract

The policy brief examines how migration governance in the EU has responded to the displacement of Ukrainians following Russia’s full-scale invasion. It explores the interplay between public attitudes, disinformation, labour market integration, and cultural participation, with a specific focus on the gendered dimensions of forced migration. The brief offers recommendations to enhance communication strategies, support women’s employment, and promote inclusive cultural policies as tools for sustainable integration.
