Короткий огляд (реферат): The detailed analysis results of educational, psychological and sociological studies revealed the professional work peculiarities of social and economic sphere representatives, social workers, in particular, and the scientific principles of social work developed into a regular profession. The scientific essence of social work content, professional activity, and a social worker has been defined. The current level of social work and practical activity as a branch of science has been identified. Social work background as a professional activity, as well as its scientific genesis in Ukraine, has been described. The main contemporary approaches to social work have been analysed. The social welfare system in social workers’ practical activity has been specified. Theoretical and practical components for preservice social and economic specialists’ training, social workers, in particular, at higher education institutions, have been disclosed. Influence factors for professional activity readiness formation at higher education institutions through the education environment have been investigated. Technology components for theoretical training and relationships peculiarities with students' environment have been found.
