The Content of Primary School English Teachers’ Philological Competence

Abstract

In the article the structure and content of primary school English teachers’ philological competence is defined. In the structure of philological competence a basic level, a professional and pedagogical level, a specialized level are distinguished. The content of philological competence is considered in this article as a set of philological literacy, philological culture, philological self-education.
